In The Worst of Evil, an exciting new crime drama premiering exclusively on Disney+ on September 27, an undercover officer will penetrate the gang responsible when a potent new recreational drug begins to spread throughout Seoul’s liveliest venues.

During the 1990s, a former DJ came to power in Seoul and initiated the distribution of a newly popular narcotic known as “Gangnam Crystal” through the city’s nightclubs. A rural officer is enlisted into a clandestine police unit and assigned the mission of infiltrating the gang to bring it down from within, even though its origin is unknown. Officer Park Junmo is astounded to learn that his spouse and fellow officer Yu Euijeong has also volunteered for the same mission. She has an enigmatic history with the city’s new drug kingpin, despite being obligated to conceal it from all. As he struggles to maintain the safety of his wife while remaining committed to his profession, Junmo’s actions will keep the audience on the edge of their seats the entire time.

Written and directed by Jang Minseok, The Worst of Evil features Ji Changwook (Backstreet Rookie, Suspicious Partner, Empress Ki) as police officer Park Junmo, Wi Hajun (Squid Game, 18 Again, Little Women) as DJ turned gang-leader Jung Gicheul, and Lim Semi (My Secret Terrius, Shopping King Louis) as security officer Yu Euijeong. The film was previously produced in Korea under the title Secret Union.

The Worst of Evil, a 12-episode series with a three-episode debut, three-episode conclusion, and two episodes broadcast each week in between, joins an ever-growing lineup of must-see Korean series now available on Disney+.
