Season two of The First Responders, which premieres on Disney+ on August 4, will feature a new partner from the National Forensic Service assist the team in their mission to uncover the true criminal mastermind, following an action-packed first season in which they collaborated to uncover Ma Taehwa’s criminal past.

Dex, who is proficient in toxicology, medicine, law, engineering, firearms, and hacking, has established himself as a notorious criminal architect linked to several of the most significant controversies in the realms of politics, Hollywood, and billionaire circles. After years of operating undetected, Dex’s impeccable track record is abruptly halted when Detective Jin Hogae apprehends Ma Taehwa for committing Dex’s ideal crime. Dex, intent on exacting vengeance on Hogae, will violate his sole rule and return to South Korea to commit a crime against the first responders in an attempt to eliminate them.

Son Hojun (Reply 1994) portrays Firefighter Bong Dojin; Gong Seungyeon (Six Flying Dragons) assumes the role of Paramedic Song Seol; and Jeon Seongwoo (Pale Moon) assumes the role of criminal mastermind Dex. Starring Kim Raewon (The Doctors). Written by Min Jieun (Partners for Justice) and directed by Shin Kyoungsoo (Deep Rooted Tree), The First Responders 2 is a sequel.
